Owner | The person who creates the Sonos Pro subscription is considered the owner. Only one user can hold this role. The owner has full control of every Pro system on the account. They can set up and maintain content services, settings, playback options, and more from the dashboard. Some settings need to be set at the system's location using the Sonos app. |
Administrators (Admins) | Admins have the same access as the owner for the dashboard, but they can’t log into the app like the owner. |
General users | General users can't access the dashboard and have limited control. They can make the following adjustments using the Sonos app:

After you’ve set up your Sonos Pro system, it's easy to expand it with new products anytime. When you get a new product, just turn it on or plug it in, open the Sonos app, and select Add when it appears (or go to Settings > System > Add Product).
Sonos Pro is built for commercial use and will only support commercial music services. Using a commercial music service helps to ensure you stay compliant with music licensing laws and artists are compensated fairly for their work. You can explore commercial music services listed under “Recommended for Pro” in the Sonos app.
Your Sonos Pro subscription includes Sonos Backgrounds—a commercially licensed music service that's fully designed with businesses in mind. It’s curated for a variety of business types and environments so you can choose the mood that fits your business, with new tracks added regularly. If you use Sonos Pro Essential, Sonos Backgrounds includes ad-free commercially licensed music by independent artists. Upgrade to Sonos Pro Premium to add ad-free licensed music by the artists everyone knows and loves.
You can play music from other audio devices or equipment by connecting to a line-in enabled Sonos speaker, a Sonos Amp, or Sonos Port.
Trueplay tuning measures how sound reflects off walls, counters, and other surfaces in an area, then fine tunes the Sonos speakers to make sure they sound great no matter where they're placed.
During setup, choose the Trueplay option that works best for your space. To retune later, go to > System, choose a room, and select Trueplay.
Note: If VoiceOver is enabled on your iOS device, Trueplay tuning isn’t available. Turn it off in your device settings before tuning your speakers.
Advanced tuning is custom and precise. It takes about 5 minutes and uses the microphone on an iOS device (running iOS 8 or later) so you'll move around the room while the sound is fine tuned for your space.
Note: Advanced tuning is the best choice for larger areas (larger open spaces may experience less precise tuning).
Quick tuning is fast, effortless, and accessible. It takes about a minute and uses the microphone on your Sonos product to detect the environment so there's no need to move around during tuning.
Note: Quick Tuning is available for both iOS and Android, and is a good choice for smaller areas, or spaces where it's difficult to move easily.
Portable Sonos products like Sonos Roam and Move can tune themselves automatically. Auto Trueplay uses the microphone on your Sonos product to detect the environment and make periodic tuning adjustments.
Go to > System, and select your portable speaker to turn on auto Trueplay.
