Wall mount

You can mount Playbar to a wall above or below a wall-mounted TV. Use the Playbar wall mount kit. You can buy it on www.sonos.com. Follow the instructions in the kit.

Caution:Don’t use any other hardware to mount the Playbar.

Guidelines

When mounting below a TV, keep 1" (25mm) space (minimum) between Playbar and TV.
When mounting above a TV, keep 2" (50mm) space (minimum) between Playbar and TV.
Preserve audio quality: make sure the connector panel faces away from the TV.
Keep both ends of the Playbar at least 1 ft. (30cm) from a wall or other obstruction.

Note:Connect the power and audio cables to the Playbar before mounting to the wall.

What you need

Masking tape
Pointed tool (like an awl)
Phillips head screw driver
Power drill with Phillips head attachment

Note:There are 2 spare screws (and anchors) included in the kit. Use these to provide additional reinforcement if you’d like.

Tape the template to the wall above or below your TV. Use a level.

Use a pointed tool to pierce through the template and mark the mounting holes. Mark closer to the corners of the holes.
Remove the template.
Drill pilot holes.

Insert and secure the wall anchors (don’t use the anchors if drilling into wood).

Place the bracket on the wall and loosely tighten the screws to secure the bracket. Check with a level and then tighten the screws.
Hang the Playbar securely on the bracket pegs.

If your product is wallmounted:

Improper or inadequate wallmount installation could cause your device to fall, resulting in personal injury.
Never hang from the Sonos product or the wall bracket.
Once wall-mounted, periodically check to ensure screws remain securely tightened.

5.Do not use this apparatus near water.

6.Clean non-fabric portions only with a dry soft cloth. Household cleaners or solvents can damage the finish on your Sonos products. Keep the fabric free from dust, pet hair, and other fine particles. Use a vacuum with a hose or non-moving bristle attachment to clean the fabric. Do not vacuum with a rotating bristle attachment. A lint brush can be used to smooth out visible lines in the fabric. Do not clean fabric with a lint roller.

7.Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

8.Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus that produce heat.

9.Protect the power cable from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

10.Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

11.Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

12.Refer all servicing to Sonos qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cable or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

13.The Mains plug should be readily available to disconnect the equipment.

14.Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.

15.Do not expose apparatus to dripping or splashing and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.
